Overview
P2CECraft runs Minecraft Java next to Portal 2: Community Edition and draws it inside P2CE's frame. P2CE supplies the level, the camera and the puzzles. Minecraft supplies the blocks, mobs and items. Both sides are the real games, not a recreation.
P2CE's camera drives Minecraft's. Minecraft's picture is composited against P2CE's depth buffer, so blocks sit behind walls and on floors. P2CE's maps, puzzles, portal gun, console and menu are untouched.
What it does
- Maps. Loading a P2CE map loads the matching Minecraft environment. With no map loaded, Minecraft displays "Please load a map". Map changes are handled, and when P2CE exits, Minecraft saves and closes.
- Collision. The map's own collision geometry is used in Minecraft, so mobs and items interact with floors, walls and ceilings.
- Minecraft. Mobs, items, inventory, crafting, hotbar, health and hunger all work. Hotbar slot 1 is the portal gun.
- P2CE. Maps, Aperture puzzles, the portal gun, the developer console and the main menu are preserved.
